About
Who we are
AI Alignment McGill (AIAM) is a group of McGill students who think advanced AI could be one of the most important technologies of our lifetimes, and who want it to go well. Despite the name, we cover more than alignment: technical safety, strategy, governance and policy are all in scope.
What we do
- Run the AGI Strategy Reading Group in English, with two weekly sessions each term and free food at every one.
- Host talks, fireside chats and panels with researchers and public figures, and invite researchers to present their work.
- Run topical events when big AI news breaks, and AI safety board game nights.
- Next term: a technical AI safety reading group in the style of ARENA.
